High Sensitivity Stress Sensor Based on Chipless RFID Tag

In this paper, a stress sensor based on chipless RFID tags is proposed. The pressure sensor is a resonant type chipless tag based on the RCS and consists of several half-wavelength C-shaped resonators etched on the dielectric support layer of varying lengths. Through stretching or compression, the identity resonant unit and the sensor resonant unit change, the sensor resonant unit according to the generated resonance frequency to obtain the size of the stretching force or compression force. Identity resonant unit generates resonant frequency, and its position on the spectrum is used as the identity information of the corresponding label, thus being recognized. Simulation results show that the stress sensor has the sensitivity of 0.316GHz/mm, and has the advantages of simple structure, independent control of sensing information and identity coding information, high sensitivity and high stability of identity information in the sensing process.
