Interferoemtric Measureemnts of the Shock-Waves Generated by the High Energy Laser

The spatial and temporal evolution of the shock-waves generated by the high energy Nd:Glass laser at KAERI

were simultaneously measured by Nomarski interferometer and ORVIS. The Nd:Glass laser with pulse energy ~20 J and pulse duration 8 nsec was irradiated onto an Al sample in the air to generate laser-plasma and shock-waves.
