Automotive Ethernet is becoming widespread as a communication interface for In-vehicle LAN with the evolution of Advanced Driver-Assistance systems-. We will examine a comparison of ESD protection designs for automotive PHY (Physical layer) chip when using ESD protection devices with different operating principles and V-I characteristics.
