Area and Delay Optimization of Ternary FPRM Circuit Based on MOAMA Algorithm

Aiming at the polarity optimization issue of Ternary fixed-polarity Reed-Muller (FPRM) circuits, a polarity optimization scheme for Ternary FPRM circuits based on multi-objective artificial mayfly algorithm (Multi-objective artificial mayfly algorithm, MOAMA) is proposed. First, a reverse mapping mechanism is introduced into the MOAMA algorithm to establish the mapping relationship between the positions of male and female mayflies. Secondly, artificial mayfly is set up to replace individuals with artificial mayfly with more evolutionary times but poor polarity. Finally, combining with Ternary FPRM expression, polarity conversion technology and circuit area and delay estimation model, the MOAMA algorithm is applied to Ternary FPRM circuit area and delay optimization. Simulation experiments were carried out on 10 MCNC Benchmark circuits, and the MOAMA algorithm was compared with the MODPSO algorithm and the MODCPSO algorithm. The results verified the effectiveness and reliability of the scheme.
