Multi-Agent Approach to SOFC-Based Generation System Control

The problem of the optimal control for a SOFT-based generation system is being solved with a multi-agent approach which allows to take into account the environmental friendliness and low maneuverability of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). For the SOFT-based generation system, a SOFC-agent and a load-agent have been created. Algorithms for the agent operation have been developed. To study the multi-agent control system effectiveness, the JADE platform and the RastrWin software package have been used. In the JADE simulation environment, an interaction model of the SOFT-based generation system agents with other agents within distributed energy system (DES) has been developed and investigated. Using the RastrWin platform, a simulation model of the DES electrical network has been implemented and the indicators of steady-state operating modes of the SOFT-based generation system have been investigated. The research results have shown the positive effects achieved when using a multi-agent control system (complete use of the SOFC generated electricity, ensuring the required voltage level on the buses of consumers with a SOFC power plant).
