Research of the Implementation Possibility of the Precise GPS Positioning Technology

The article discusses the applied precision farming systems designed to increase the driving accuracy of agricultural machinery regardless of external conditions, reduce the cost of fuel, fertilizers, seeds, improve the quality of field cultivation and increase yields - parallel driving systems, autopilots and agronavigators. The article considers ready-made solutions for precision farming available on the market, navigation receivers and antennas suitable for precise positioning purposes. The use of freely available software - RTKLib library for accurate positioning using RTK technology (Real Time Kinematic) is considered. The article proposes to create a budget positioning system that will measure the location of agricultural machinery with an accuracy of a centimeter, using the RTKLib library to create an accurate heading guide or agronavigator. The possibility of creating a high-precision GPS / GLONASS navigation receiver was also considered, where data processing using RTK technology occurs on the receiver board itself using a microcontroller, as a result, it was concluded that it is advisable to use 32-bit STM32 microcontrollers with an ARM Cortex-M4 core. To develop a device prototype, it is proposed to use a development board based on STM32 Nucleo and a cloud-based integrated development environment (IDE) Mbed, and for the final serial device, it is desirable to use low-level programming at the register level using CMSIS libraries using software from STM: a convenient STM32Cube initialization code generator, and the Atollic True Studio IDE.
