Numerical Study of Corrosion Cracks in Grounding of Electrical Substations with their Stochastic Origins

The paper presents numerical studies of mathematical models of corrosion cracks in grounding devices of electrical substations on the basis of ordinary differential equations with fluctuations of the crack initiation and on the basis of partial differential equations with different initial distributions of the random value of the crack. The results obtained are useful in studying the stochastic dynamics of deformational destruction of grounding materials, devices and systems both of electrical engineering and electric power industry. The research technique outlined in the work is especially relevant for practical application to predict all kinds of corrosion destruction processes in order to reduce emergency situations in electrical networks of various voltage classes.
