Optimization of Design on Image Surveillance System in Distribution Stations Based on Cost over Life Cycle

Distribution stations are the pivots for distribution system in urban areas, which spread massively, cover large areas and are hard to manage. The disposition of image surveillance system for environment and equipment in distribution stations largely enhances unmanned management. However, overly or deficiently configuration of image surveillance system and unnecessarily or insufficiently disposition of image surveillance system equipment are violations for quality improvement and efficiency enhancement. Based on lowering cost over life cycle, this paper proposes an optimization model for design of image surveillance system. Considered from investment cost of surveillance equipment, operation and maintenance cost and loss on power failure, proposed model builds an objective function on the view of life cycle and provides an optimal solution for the design of image surveillance system, which is subject to geometric attributions of distribution stations, layouts of switchgear and surveillance areas. Case study indicates the effectiveness of the model.
