Installation of Transducer-Identification Function into Existing Indicators toward Remote Calibration of Force Calibration Machines

The Recent pandemic of COVID-19 brought social regulation against the movement of persons. Conventional comparison calibration of force calibration machines (FCMs) essentially needed the movement of persons and was restricted by the pandemic. To transit to remote calibration of FCMs instead of conventional comparison calibration, monitoring measurement and environmental data, identification of instruments, and ensuring security in communication were mainly required for traveling standards consisting of force transducers and precision indicators. Modification of existing indicators improved these capabilities, and experimental confirmation indicated no deterioration in calibration capability before and after the modification.
