Adaptive finite control set model predictive control for Packed U Cell inverter

With the development of science and technology, environmental protection and energy have been paid more and more attention. In this context, the role of high-voltage and high-power converters is becoming more and more significant. In the 1960s, the emergence of multi-level inverter made up for many defects of traditional two-level inverter. The paper presents an adaptive finite control set model predictive control (MPC) for a four-level Packed U Cell (PUC) inverter. The topological structure and modeling process of the circuit are introduced in detail in this paper. After the observer realizes the accurate estimation of the actual load value, the results are fed back to the MPC in time to realize the optimization of the control strategy. Finally, the simulation verifies the correctness of the modeling and the effectiveness of the control method.
