Quantum Imaging for Remote Sensing and Earth Observation

We discuss quantum imaging protocols and their possible application in remote sensing and Earth Observation. In particular, we shall focus on a novel quantum imaging protocol, named Correlation Plenoptic Imaging (CPI), which exploits the spatio-temporal correlations of light to perform 3D imaging and refocusing of out-of-focus objects, while maintaining the highest possible resolution, and offering the possibility of turbulence attenuation.
