Microwave Method for Determining the Content of Harmful Gases in Atmosphere

The article considers a new method for determining the content of harmful gases in the atmosphere, based on the measurement of the dielectric permittivity of the controlled medium. Information about the change in the dielectric permittivity of the air is obtained by measuring the phase progression of the microwave signal as it passes through the measuring line. A mathematical model is presented to account for the influence of weather conditions on the accuracy of measurements. The calculated values for the permittivity of the atmosphere under various meteorological conditions coincide with the experimental ones.
