A Compact CPW Fed Artistry Bell shaped WLAN Reject Stable UWB- MIMO Diversity Antenna

A Coplanar Waveguide fed compact band notched Ultrawideband two-port Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) antenna is presented. Antenna has a novel artistry bell shaped radiators and a defected ground structure (DGS). The antenna of size 15mm × 30mm × 0.8mm is having exact ultrawideband ranging from 3 GHz to 10.6 GHz. Improved isolation of -21 dB is noticed within the band except higher frequency band from 9.5 GHz to 10.6 GHz, where it is in the allowable range of less than -15dB. Radiators are placed at 180° from each other providing high isolation. No other decoupling technique has been utilized. Notched band for WLAN (5.1 GHz to 5.8 GHz) is obtained by adding L-shaped slit on the radiator. Radiation Efficiency of more than 90% is achieved. MIMO Diversity parameters are procured and improved channel capacity is achieved within desired band.
