Synchronization of islanded microgrid cluster based on virtual oscillator control

A synchronization control strategy for islanded microgrid clusters is proposed aiming at the problem of stable operation of multi-interconnected microgrids under the condition of no communication or a small amount of communication. Based on the synchronization mechanism of coupling oscillators in the complex network, the microgrids can be controlled to emulate the dynamics of nonlinear dead-zone oscillators and achieve stable networked synchronization without the restriction of communication conditions of the microgrid cluster. Inside every sub-microgrid, the control strategy based on the point of common coupling (PCC) voltage filtering tracking error is adopted to realize the grid-forming operation of multi-parallel distributed generations (DGs) so as to ensure the rapid and accurate control of the PCC voltage and frequency. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified based on the Matlab /Simulink simulation platform.
