Free oscillations in cavities with metallic surfaces

The problem of free oscillations in a cavity filled with real metallic lossy surfaces is studied in the time-domain in compliance with the principle of causality. The modal basis and the evolutionary equations (i.e., with time derivative) for the modal amplitudes are derived.
