Structure optimization of offshore multi-platform power system with improved genetic algorithm

With the increasing need of resources nowadays, offshore multi-platform mining system has gradually become an important facility for seabed resources mining. The structure of offshore multi-platform power system distribution network not only influences the stability of power system but also influences the economic benefit of the whole system. However, the optimization model of distribution network considering stability, security and economic benefit is difficult to find the global optimal solution with regular heuristic algorithm. This paper firstly designs an economic evaluation system for offshore multi-platform power system to set the objective of optimization model and puts forward the constraints according to the power flow and the platform space. Besides, this paper puts forward an improved genetic algorithm to find an optimal solution for the structure optimization model. Finally, a case of offshore multi-platform power system is studied. The results prove the effect of both the optimization model and the improved genetic algorithm.
