Method for Selecting Information-dense Parameters at Control Points of ICS to Solve Problem of Effective Detection of Anomalies due to Cyber-Attacks on Information Processes of Industrial Systems

The research considers the selection of information-dense parameters at the control points of industrial automation and control systems (IACS) to solve the problem of effective detection of anomalies caused by cyber-attacks on information processes of industrial systems. The article describes methods for collecting IACS telemetry data alongside with the parameters characterizing each variable either measured or set. Based on the calculated weight of each parameter, the authors propose a method to select improvements for data collection in IACS for each zone and path. The conclusions discuss further directions for the improvement of the developed methodology.
