A Promising Anti-inflammatory Drugs from Citrus Amblycarpa (Hassk.) Ochse Seeds

Extensive studies have confirmed that bio compounds of Citrus amblycarpa (Hassk.) Ochse are strongly associated with numerous pharmacological effects. Phytochemical studies showed that this variant of citrus has antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer agents. Nonetheless, there is no report on Citrus Amblycarpa (Hassk.) Ochse on its anti-inflammatory effect. Therefore, this study was performed to evaluate the cytotoxic significance of the anti-inflammatory effect and histological structures of Citrus Amblycarpa (Hassk.) Ochse seed ethanolic extract (CASEE) on inflammation RAW 264.7 cell line, induced by Lipopolysaccharide. Cytotoxicity test showed the safety range of CASEE within 12,5 µg/mL and 75 µg/mL concentrations. ELISA test results showed that CASEE with 75 µg/mL concentration has average 312,75 response to TNF-α, 155,19 response to IL1-β and 524,41 response to PGE-2, while CASEE with12,5 µg/mL concentration has average 450,08 response to TNF-α, 317,26 response to IL1-β and 729,66 response to PGE-2. In addition, the histological findings confirmed the effectiveness of CASEE 75 µg/mL concentration in inhibiting the three mediators. This study concluded that CASEE is a promising powerful anti-inflammatory property due to their effectiveness and safety.
