Study on Head Injury Criterion affected by the various rupture mode of window shield

As a consequence of the innovation in the field of vehicle passive safety, the protection performance of vehicle against vulnerable road users (VRU) keeps attracting the attention of the society. In the basis of the unusual wind shield performance on the pedestrian protection test, this paper has started with the comparison analysis of the historical collecting data, following with standardizing an impact curve. In addition, an “Triangle-Arch” model has been established and the reliability has been verified. By parameterizing the entire complicated collision process, the intrinsic relationship, with regard to the windscreen performance, between the domain of passive safety (acceleration waveform) and glass manufacturing (glass properties) has been constructed.
