Mechanical Performance Analysis and Experimental Study of Flat Spiral Spring

The contradiction between energy consumption and pollution has become increasingly prominent, and it is urgent to collect and store energy. The flat spiral spring is a widely used elastic element, which can realize energy storage and release. In this paper, the theoretical analysis and experimental verification of the torsional stiffness characteristics of the flat spiral spring were carried out, and the mechanical model was established to obtain the torsional stiffness of the spring. The spring was treated as a flexible body by ADAMS, and its dynamic simulation analysis was carried out, and the stiffness characteristic of the spring was obtained. After the springs made of 60Si2Mn and 304 stainless steel were tested. The result shows that the torsional stiffness curves of the simulation and experiment have the linear characteristics in a certain range.
