Research and design of automatic dehumidification device for transformer conservator oil desiccant

In order to prevent the humid air from entering the transformer oil during the cold and hot shrinkage of transformer oil, which will affect the insulation performance of transformer grease, a desiccant tank is commonly installed at the inlet of transformer conservator. The moisture absorption characteristics of silicone grease desiccant are used to solve the problem of wet air entering into transformer oil during the cold and hot shrinkage of transformer oil. However, with the long-term moisture absorption, the silica gel desiccant needs to be replaced when the humidity reaches a certain level, which may cause the transformer oil to enter the humid air. Therefore, this paper proposes to use the heater to automatically start the heater when the humidity reaches a certain degree, and automatically remove the moisture in the desiccant tank, so that the desiccant can be recycled. The actual use shows that the use of transformer conservator desiccant automatic dehumidifier can reduce the use cost of desiccant and save the manual and material resources when replacing the desiccant.
