Development of a Special Test Device for Harmonic Elimination

The primary harmonic elimination device is used for power medium voltage system, neutral point isn’t grounded system, the device is used between the voltage transformer and neutral point. It is used to prevent over-voltage caused by ferromagnetic resonance and over-current through the high-voltage transformer when single-phase or arc is grounded. Most power supply companies think that the using of multimeter measurement and the using of the shaking meter method aren’t necessary due to the large errors. There is no need to test the primary harmonic elimination device. For this, there is no more appropriate method of cancellation in order to test and check, if harmonic elimination device is damaged, the replacement of harmonic elimination means can only be adopted, so that it can defects equipment belt running condition in order to solve this problem, it is proposed to develop a special test of a harmonic elimination device, the device is mainly for the nonlinear resistor of harmonic elimination device to test, it is determined whether harmonic elimination device is qualified from volt-ampere characteristic curve.
