Analysis of Acoustic Energy Distribution on the Continental Shelf Edge

In the past few decades, more and more attention has been paid to sound propagation on the shelf slope. In order to solve the problem of acoustic energy distribution in the continental shelf slope area, the modeling of acoustic propagation is studied. In this paper, the main factors affecting the spatial distribution of acoustic energy in sea area of shelf slope were analyzed through numerical calculation of propagation loss of different survey lines, while environmental parameters were obtained by using temperature, salinity and depth data of typical sea area. The research results have important significance for sonar performance analysis, underwater acoustic modeling and simulation in shelf slope environment.
