Algorithms and parameters for avalanche prediction - a review

This paper provides an overview of the AI algorithms used in the process of avalanche prediction. The paper has the purpose of presenting some of the most important AI algorithms that are discussed in several studies about snow avalanche prediction. The paper will present the most important parameters used in the context of different classification methods. We also discuss some of the advantages and disadvantages of the described AI algorithms. The AI algorithms are very important because the prediction process cannot be finalized without them. In conclusion, this study is useful when trying to implement prediction methods for snow avalanche detection system.
