Internet of Things in Public Administration

This article is an analysis of the use of information technology, which may be helpful in building the Internet of Things model in Polish public administration. It seems important to carry out activities in such a way that they take into account the scientific achievements of researchers in the world and in Poland, but at the same time takes into account the current realities and functioning of information and communication systems in real conditions. The main purpose of this study is to identify the impact of the Internet of Things on the management of public administration resources. In order to determine the impact of the development of the Internet of Things technology for the management of the technical infrastructure in public space, it is necessary to conduct research on Local Government Units in the territory of the Republic of Poland. When defining the subject of the research, the focus should be on rural communes, urban-rural communes, urban communes, cities with poviat status and poviats. These units have a public technical infrastructure as a part of their resources acting towards the benefit for the society. The results of the research allowed to determine the impact of the development of the Internet of Things technology in the technical public infrastructure managed by local governments.
