Improved design of crown springs of connectors based on the finite element method

In order to solve the problems of the existing crown spring socket, such as easy wear and short service life caused by excessive insertion force, this paper proposes a parameterized simulation optimization method based on finite element. Firstly, the parametric modeling of the crown spring socket is carried out, the throat circle radius and groove width are selected as the parameters of the crown spring structure design, the maximum stress and insertion force of the crown spring socket are selected as the target parameters, and the multi-objective optimization analysis is carried out by using ANSYS Workbench software. The results show that the maximum stress of the optimized crown spring is less than the yield strength of the material, the insertion force is reduced by 52.63% on the premise of meeting the minimum separation force requirements, and the contact reliability of the crown spring socket is greatly improved.
