Three Ports Bidirectional DC Converters of the Interleaved Buck/Boost Integrated with Dual Active Bridge

The isolated three-port converter (TPC) is not suitable for the situation of power feedback. And there are some problems such as the limitation of output voltage, which is caused by the improper selection of control method, and the control is complex cause of the coupling of control variables. So the topology of interleaved Buck/Boost integrated with dual active bridge (DAB) is selected in this paper. Using a centralized control method which uses Pulse width modulation (PWM) control on the primary side and Phase shift modulation (PSM) control on the secondary side for the three ports bidirectional DC converters above. This method realizes the controlling of system energy, the power bi-directional flow of converter, and the single-stage power conversion between different ports. And this method also realizes the smooth switching between different working states and wide range voltage output. And the current ripple also is reduced. The output power relationship of the converter , the duty ratio D and the central phase shift angle δ of the switch is analyzed in detail, which aims to realize the decoupling of the control variables and make the control simple. A 300W experimental prototype was made. The feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed control scheme are proved by experiments.
