Exergy Analysis for Main Heat Transfer System of CEFR

Many pieces of research on the high efficiency and energy saving for power plants mainly focus on thermal power plants or pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. There are few studies on the efficiency of the sodium-cooled fast reactor (SFR). To determine the energy loss during the operation for the thermal system of the supercritical reactor and design a better construction scheme for the supercritical reactor, in this paper the neutron reactor and the important equipment of the main heat exchange loop in CEFR were modeled, and the exergy loss and exergy efficiency during the operation under rated conditions are also analyzed. The results show that the biggest exergy loss of the main heat transfer system is the reactor core during CEFR operation. In the main heat exchange system of CEFR, the exergy efficiency of the once-through steam generator is the lowest.
