Simulation of Capacitive Circuit Discharge in Gas Environment Based on PIC-MCC Method

The output short circuit of switch changer applied in coal mine can be equivalent to capacitor short circuit discharge. In order to study the micro process of capacitor short circuit discharge and the influence of voltage and capacitance value on discharge characteristics, the PIC/MCC method was used to establish a two-dimensional needle-plate electrostatic model. By changing the voltage between electrodes and the size of external capacitance, it is found that the voltage amplitude and capacitance have a significant effect on the discharge degree of the needle plate, and the influence of capacitance capacity is not as great as that of voltage. With the increase of voltage and capacity parameters, the average energy of the electron increases gradually, the maximum current also increases, and the voltage discharge speed accelerates. Due to the enhancement of the electric fieldBetween the poles, the energy obtained by the electrons is relatively high, the speed of motion is accelerated, and collide to ionize more particles.
