Distributed Control Method for User-level Microgrids

As the proportion of distributed generation grows in power system, microgrid becomes an important role in consumption. As the number of facilities in radiating distributed power grid is great, the application of traditional centralized control or decentralized control methods are difficult to solve problems such as high control pressure, weak connection between the microgrid and main grid, or single point failure. Aiming at low-voltage user-level microgrid, this paper proposes a P2P control structure based on MAS to realize distributed control and ensure that operation standards can be met in both grid-connected and off-grid operations of microgrids. Through such method, rapid response to changes, control pressure lowered and single point failure avoided could also be fulfilled. By building user-level microgrid system in PSCAD/EMTDC, the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed control method are verified.
