Research on Power Balance Control between Low Voltage Buses in Substation

In the low voltage bus interconnection system of substation, the load fluctuation will lead to the imbalance of feeder transmission power and unequal load rate of substation. In order to solve the mentioned problem, a power balance control strategy of flexible interconnection device (FID) with energy storage is proposed. The control strategy can modulate the active power output of FID port in real time, realize the transmission power balance between feeders, and keep the load rate of substation consistent. Considering the capacity limit of the substation, when the total load exceeds the allowable range of the substation, the corresponding power difference is compensated by controlling the discharge of the energy storage device to avoid the overload operation of the transformer. Finally, a simulation model is built in DIgSILENT/PowerFactory and the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy.
