Numerical Simulation of Hydrogen Production Trends with Porosity of the Electrode of URSOFC

A regenerative solid oxide fuel cell model under multi-physics coupling was built to study the influence of different design parameters on fuel cell performance. First, the hydrogen production performance increases slightly when the cathode porosity increases from 0.2 to 0.4. However, there is no significant difference in the hydrogen production performance when the cathode porosity increases from 0.4 to 0.6. The influence of the average cathode pore size on the hydrogen production performance is limited.
