Abstract:
In the past years, we have observed that traditional farming has been implemented for harvesting using soil. This method takes a lot of time to decompose making it prone to diseases and also requires human effort. To fulfill the demands of the increasing population especially in metropolitan cities, farmers and commercial plantation companies are forced to use harmful chemicals to increase production, which affects the consumers in the long run. Hydroponics is a technique which can be used to grow plants without soil. In this technique, the plant gets all the required nutrients from the water solution. An automated dosing system in Hydroponics can be monitored and controlled with the help of machine learning algorithms like Deep Neural Networks. We will discuss how IoT enables communication between machines and also study the parameters which affect plant growth in the hydroponic system.
