A proactive time management approach in the stroke service evaluation

The early detection and management can promote a healthful outcome of the stroke's patient. Unfortunately, time management has not organized to fit all acute stroke patient care pathway. So, many of these patients are likely to acquire needles brain injuries. The National Clinical Guidelines recommended to shorthand the required time of treatment: the (Door to Needle) time for thrombolytic treatment should be 90 minutes or less. To evaluate time of different stages of the patient's pathway, from Accident and Emergency (A&E) arrival time until stroke unit admission. A retrospective survey of 142 patient's data who went to the stroke unit in the Royal Stoke Hospital, United Kingdom between the first of two months of 2015 was done. Assessment for the different period from the patient's incidence until admission to the stroke unit was calculated in UK. Ambulance team achieved to assess and transfer the patient to A&E within 60 minutes after ictus in 51% (n =73). The stroke team examined 75% (n=107) within 60 minutes after the A&E admission. While a cranial CT scan was done for 80.5% (n =115) at the same period. Stroke unit admission was accomplished in 78.2% (n = 111) within the first four hours after A&E arrival. Time-Management has proven as the most important factor in the stroke patient's prognosis. Continuous efforts are still needed to educate ambulance team, hospital staff, and general community regarding stroke awareness. The phrase `'Time is Brain'' pave the way for future generations to live a better life, rather than just a simple synonymous.
