Compact Dual-band Umbrella Shape Slotted Patch Antenna for Wireless Applications

In this paper presents the design and analysis of compact umbrella shape slotted patch antenna for dual band mode, which can cover the wireless applications WLAN (2.4 GHz) and Lower WiMAX (2.9 GHz) for RFID services. Design is fabricated on low-cost dielectric substrate FR4 with dimensions of 30×30×0.82 mm

. The S parameter are observed at both the resonating bands with range 2.35-2.62 GHz and 2.81-2.99 GHz for identification of lower S band for wireless standards. At both frequency radiation efficiency, gain, patterns are present in stable formation. Simulated and experimental results are obtained and found in good agreement between them.
