Single Slit Compact Patch Antenna with sectional Ground Plane for Bluetooth and WLAN 802.11b Application

An omnidirectional slit miniaturized rectangular patch antenna with a partial ground for Bluetooth and WLAN application is explored. This antenna covers the bandwidth of 10 % (2.317 - 2.5618) GHz considering |S11| <; -10 dB. The size of the miniaturized antenna is 15.44×30 mm

. The current distribution of resonating frequency (2.447GHz) is studied. The Far-field pattern is omnidirectional at all frequencies, and in the paper, the simulated result is shown. Miniaturization of Antenna and impact on parameters are also studied. Simulation is done by CST microwave studio suite. This is a monopole antenna. It can be used Mobile receiver application.
