A Single Band E Shaped Micro-strip Patch Antenna For WLAN Application using coaxial feed

This paper introduces a single band E-shaped microstrip patch antenna particularly designed for WLAN applications. The whole research work is performed using Ansys HFSS software. The technique which is introduced in the paper to feed the antenna is coaxial feeding. The operating frequency of its antenna is 2.4 GHz. The dielectric constant of the proposed antenna is 2.2. The thickness of the substrate is 6mm. Multiple analyses were done over specific parameters such as return loss, gain, VSWR of the antenna to make it best suitable for WLAN applications. As a result of work, return loss is -19.58 dB and VSWR<; 2 in the band 1.6GHz, and presenting a simulation of this antenna has been done with the help of HFSS software. This antenna design is an improvement from last year's research published in IEEE 2017.
