Effect on soft error rate of kinks and open loops in the read-head transfer curve

In this paper we study the effects of nonlinearities in the GMR sensor on soft error rate. Previous studies have focused on the effects of nonhysteretic, low order nonlinearities. Here we focus mainly on transfer curves with "kinks" and open loops.
