Electric Flying Wing Design

The article deals with the problem of designing an aircraft of the “Flying Wing” type, that is a platform of Electromotion ecosystem. It is designed for monitoring the earth's surface and transporting goods and people at specified distances without equipped area for take-off and landing. A distinctive feature of this aircraft is the possibility of its use in manned and unmanned modes. The significant influence of their energy properties on wing aerodynamics and on the specific energy properties of the electric power system is taken into account. Therefore, design is a complex optimization problem in which the structure of an object and its control system are simultaneously synthesized. For the first time, this problem was solved using an integrated approach to the airframe architecture, power system and control algorithms calculation. It is divided into subtasks of forming the wing aerodynamic appearance, designing its electric power system and synthesizing control laws.
