PSS/E Based Subsynchronous Resonance Analysis Tool

There are several techniques employed for analyzing the subsynchronous resonance (SSR) phenomena. Among the most common are frequency scanning analysis, eigenvalue analysis and time-domain simulations. This paper presents the implementation of a frequency scanning program based on the PSS/E power system software package. The tool is developed on Python and makes use of the PSS/E API.
