Analysis of the Evolution Scheme of NSA RAN Sharing to SA RAN Sharing

This paper firstly introduces 5G RAN Sharing background, meaning, purpose, principle and classification. We start by presenting three kinds of 5G RAN Sharing Network Architectures (Non-Standalone single mode, Standalone single mode, Non-Standalone/Standalone two mode). We then make a deep analysis of evolution schemes of NSA Ran Sharing to SA Ran Sharing in network construction, network performance, customer satisfaction, network invest, operation, maintenance and optimization complexity etc. Based on the detailed analysis, we also give the sincere suggestion on each evolution scheme. Finally, we draw the conclusion of the evolution scheme and look forward to the future of 5G RAN Sharing network. The analysis and suggestion can be used as a reference for the operators who intend to plan, build, operate, maintain and optimize 5G RAN sharing network.
