An Integrated Frequency Selective Power Divider with Double-Slot Antenna Radiation and Wide Stopband for Sub-6 GHz 5G

This paper presents a filtering power divider with loaded slot antennas. A fifth-degree Chebyshev filtering response with two symmetric transmission zeros are effectively implemented through a distributed configuration achieving a double-sided selectivity and broad out of band rejections. The main purpose is to design an array antenna fed by filtering power divider based on the microstrip open-loop coupled-resonators built by printed circuit board (PCB) technology. The proposed filtering antenna (Filtenna) is operating at sub-6 GHz spectrum suitable for N78-5G application. An optimized return loss, flat realized gain and steep roll-off close-to-band rejection of -12 dB, 4.5 dB and -20 dB are respectively obtained. The results are in good agreement with the design goals.
