High Speed VCSEL: Technology and Applications - Tutorial

This article consists of a collection of slides from the author's conference presentation. They report on recent advances in vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs). Modern VCSELs enable multiple applications in sensing and in data communication, where they operate at speeds of up to 224Gb/s per single chip.
