Communication System Based on Chaotic Masking Binary Phase Manipulation and Nonlinear Filtering

This paper presents the results of modeling an optical communication system with noise masking by a discrete-nonlinear Duffing-Holmes system with chaotic dynamics. A nonlinear filter for chaotic signals of the Duffing-Holmes system was developed based on the theory of invariance on the principle of two-channel, which allows separating useful information from the additive mixture of chaotic and information signals. Estimates of the bit error probability are obtained when the ratio of the energy per bit to the spectral noise power of the considered optical communication system with noise masking by signals of the Duffing-Holmes system changes. Based on the estimates obtained, appropriate conclusions were drawn about the operation of the proposed system. The results of the work can be used in the design of modern optical communication systems in order to increase the security of transmitted information from unauthorized access.
