Optimization of Parking Space Based on Video Analysis of Traffic Flow Characteristics

The problem of finding the optimal balance between ensuring the capacity of the road network and sufficient and necessary space in large cities to park vehicles in the conditions of the existing dense building and limited size of the territory is raised. The related regulatory documents have been studied. It is proposed to assess the situation using the appropriate criteria to find a solution for a more efficient use of territories. To obtain data when making decisions it’s proposed to use video analysis with subsequent processing of the characteristics of the traffic flow. Optimization methods based on the obtained data are proposed.
