Linear Array Different Symmetrical Profile Bending Effect on the Input Impedances’ Unbalance and Other Characteristics

The influence of the symmetrical bending of the profile of a linear antenna array along the arc of a circle, parabola, corner on its radiation pattern, efficiency and impedance matrix is studied. Using the example of an 11-element array with different inter-element distances, the range of aperture angles, characterizing the bending, is determined, at which the antenna properties change within the specified small limits. The similarity and difference of the effects for different profile bending lines are demonstrated. The results can be used to synthesize compensation schemes or to assess the need for their development.
