Application of Improved Single Neuron Adaptive PID Control Method in the Angle Predefined Loop of Active Radar Seeker for Anti-radiation Missile

Aiming at the technical difficulties that traditional PID control could not satisfy the characteristics and requirements of the control loop of anti-radiation active radar seeker with tiny instantaneous field of view, an Improved-Single-Neural-Adaptive-PID (ISNAPID) strategy is posed for the seeker angle predetermined Circuit. Firstly, the angle predetermined loop model is set up based on the analysis of the mechanism of servo system. Secondly, the basic principle of Single-Neural-Adaptive-PID (SNAPID) method is explained and an improvement strategy is proposed. Finally, we have simulated the performance of the angle predetermined loop when employing incremental PID control, SNAPID control and ISNAPID control respectively. Simulation results show that ISNAPID control is robust against interference and has quick response. Furthermore, it is not only able to improve the seeker’s dynamic performance and the accuracy of seeker gimbals angle, but also improves the anti-radiation missile's anti-radar shutdown ability which can facilitate the detection and capture target.
