Design of Software Fault Tolerant System for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV) have a wide range of applications in marine detection, seabed search and rescue, and military warfare. The pursuit of high software reliability is the ultimate goal of autonomous underwater vehicle software development. This paper introduces the reliability design of AUV software system, constructs the AUV fault-tolerant management module based on the software fault-tolerant technology, and realized the fault-tolerant handling of transient faults by using the software redundancy technology. The failure data of AUV are predicted by the optimized Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) prediction model, which provides a basis for the improvement and evaluation of software reliability.
