Optimal operation of compressors in terms of power and efficiency

Two main approaches to optimisation of load allocation for a system of compressors working in parallel rely on either minimisation of power or maximisation of efficiency. This paper shows that the two approaches are not equivalent. An example with two compressors confirms that the two approaches do not give the same solution.
