The rating of incandescent lamps and their accessories

In explanation of the title chosen for this paper, the term “rating” is used as applying to the luminous value of lamps with or without accessories. The term “accessories” refers to reflectors, shades, enclosing globes and other devices that are employed to control the light emitted by the lamps.
